C3sports Heat Index Policy:

Yellow zone 85-98
-Keep hydrated
-Rest break every 15 minutes during practice.
Orange zone 99-105
-All things mentioned in the yellow zone with the addition of:
-Practice- Shorten by 15 minutes
-Games- Shorten periods by 1 minute
Red zone 106 -115
-All things mentioned in the yellow zone with the addition of:
-Practice- Shorten by 30 minutes
-Games- Shorten periods by 1 minute, 3 extra minutes at half time, & coaches avoid players on the field for consecutive periods when possible.
Black zone above 115
-All games and practices canceled until the heat index returns to below 115.
Please note that the zones will change as the heat increases and decreases throughout the day. For example the first game of the day may play under the yellow zone and the mid day games may play under the Red zone. Coaches and families will be updated through Facebook, c3sports.net, and the C3FW app.
The above are guidelines, it is the responsibility of parents to make the ultimate decision as to the participation of their child when heat may be a factor, taking into consideration the age and physical condition of their child. Parents also have the responsibility to inform their child about the dangers of heat and need for protection, including sunscreen and proper hydration.
